CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator
Pay: £14.50 to £19.50 Per Hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Glossop, Derbyshire, UK
Pressure Tech is a precision engineering firm with energy sector clients across the globe. As we expand into the clean energy market we have an exciting opportunity for skilled CNC programmer/setter/operators to join our growing team. Vacancies are available for two shift patterns, either 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, or and afternoon/evening shift, 10 hours a day, 4 days a week and we are recruiting for both millers and those with experience of operating twin spindle machines.
Other Duties Include:
  • Programming, setting and operating a range of CNC machines, including multi-axis and sliding head
  • Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time
  • Finishing components to the highest quality standards
  • Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
  • Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards
Requirements:
  • The successful applicant must be a team player who can equally work on their own initiative, and meet the following criteria:
  • Experienced CNC programmer, setter and operator, preferably with experience of operating 9-axis and/or sliding head machines
  • Experience of programming FANUC controls will be beneficial
  • Qualified through apprenticeship or HND
  • Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
  • Experience of CMM desirable
  • Methodical and focused approach to work
  • Focused on quality with high level of attention to detail
  • Good team player
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Able to work well under pressure

CNC Machinist - APPRENTICESHIP
Pay: £340 PW
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Glossop, Derbyshire, UK
We have seen a 65% growth in the business over the past 12 months, which is predominantly from the development of the pressure regulators supplied to the hydrogen fuel cell applications. From this growth, we are looking to train and develop CNC machinists to work on a range of CNC machines we have within Pressure Tech. These include sliding head, milling, turning and multi-axis machines.
 
Combining a solid apprenticeship program focused around engineering principles and CNC machining with the support of the skilled CNC machinists we employ here at Pressure Tech, we believe we have an excellent opportunity to develop individuals to become fully skilled and competent CNC machinists.
 
* During the first year you will attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study
* One Friday per month you will return to your workplace
* After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study
* The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job

Mechanical Assembly & Test Engineer
£10.50 per hour - negotiable depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location - Graphite Way, Hadfield
Pressure Tech manufacture high pressure regulator valves in stainless steel for the oil and gas market and have over 1000 parts used in the assembly of our products. We currently have a vacancy for an Assembly Engineer to join our team.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assembly of regulators to the highest quality standards within required timescales
• Testing of assemblies on pressures to 1000bar to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Cleaning and finishing of assemblies to reflect the quality of the product.
• Packing products for despatch.
Requirements:
  • Methodical and focused approach to work
  • Experience dealing with high pressure gas and liquids safely
  • Able to work effectively and accurately under time pressure
  • Good team player
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Experience in similar role would be advantageous
  • Mechanical engineering experience or qualifications would be an advantage
