Logistics Coordinator
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Hours: 25 hours per week
Location: Glossop, Derbyshire, UK
Pressure Tech is a rapidly growing engineering company specialising in high pressure regulators and valves, traditionally used in the oil & gas sector but with exciting new developments in the hydrogen fuel cell market. We are now seeking a part-time Logistics Coordinator to manage the shipping of customer orders, both in the UK and overseas.
Other Duties Include:
  • Arranging the timely despatch of customer orders
  • Managing all related paperwork such as delivery notes, certifications and commercial invoices
  • Liaising with colleagues and customers to ensure orders are correct and appropriate paperwork and admin are completed
  • Selection of the appropriate shipping companies in accordance with customer and company requirements
  • Dealing with queries from customs to expedite shipping
  • Supporting colleagues by obtaining quotations and information in relation to shipping
  • Obtaining and filing export documentation
  • Maintaining accurate records on ERP system, including scanning and storing works orders and delivery notes.
  • Helping with general admin duties as required
Requirements:
  • Ideally you will have experience in a similar role but, most importantly, you will be quick to learn, thorough and have excellent attention to detail.
  • You will be able to work on your own initiative and to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • You will have good computer skills and good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • You will also need to be prepared to help out with admin and other duties as required in a small company.

Mechanical Design Engineering Manager
Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Glossop, Derbyshire, UK
We are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to head up our design department. The successful candidate will be an established leader with extensive experience of mechanical design. You will manage our small design team to develop new products and modifications to meet customer and market specifications. A key requirement is the ability to manage design projects in a timely and effective manner, resulting in fully tested, production ready components that meet quality and operating standards.
You will need to have a good working knowledge of medium/high pressure equipment including valves, fittings and regulators. A good understanding of hydraulics and fluid handling systems would be advantageous, as would knowledge of ASME B31.3, PED, and use of products in Hazardous areas. You will also need to be able to do manual calculations to support design concepts. Experience of Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, FEA, and CFD would also be advantageous.
Other Duties Include:
  • Working on new product development projects
  • Creating drawings and designs to meet with production needs
  • Managing small team of design engineers
  • Working closely with quality department, production department, and sales team
  • Keeping products up to date with latest standards and approvals
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering degree;
  • Extensive mechanical design experience, ideally in a pressure-related industry;
  • Good knowledge and understanding of pressure equipment operation and functionality;
  • Understand various material properties, with ability to recognise potential suitability;
  • Understand product "life" and importance of product validation;
  • Analytical with an enquiring mind, with the ability to find solutions to problems;
  • Able to manage projects to achieve agreed outcomes and timescales;
  • Able to work at a good pace and respond to deadlines;Flexible approach to work and problem solving;
  • An interest in research and development, and in ensuring that products meet with customers’ expectations;
  • Experience of managing and motivating a team of experienced design engineers.

CNC Operator/Programmers - Sliding Head and Multi-Axis Machines
Pay: Competitive Depending on Experience (40hrs Per Week)

Pressure Tech manufacture high pressure regulator valves in stainless steel for the oil and gas market and have over 1000 parts used in the assembly of our products. We have a vacancy for a number of skilled CNC programmers/operators for our sliding head and multi-axis machines.
Other Duties Include:
  • Setting and operating a range of CNC machines, including Citizen Sliding Head A32/L32 models and Hardinge Quest multi-axis machines
  • Programming using Mitsubishi/ISO and Fanuc controls respectively
  • Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time
  • Finishing components to the highest quality standards
  • Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
  • Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards
Requirements:
  • Experienced CNC programmer, setter and operator of sliding head and/or multi-axis machines
  • Experience of programming using Mitsubishi/ISO and/or FANUC controls will be beneficial
  • Qualified through apprenticeship or HND
  • Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
  • Experience of CMM desirable
  • Methodical and focused approach to work
  • Focused on quality with high level of attention to detail
  • Good team player
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Able to work well under pressure
