Quality Engineer
Location: Glossop, Derbyshire, UK
JOB PURPOSE
* To apply quality standards within the company and improve overall efficiency of operation by implementing’ right first time’ principles.
* Apply Engineering principles to ensure reliability, effectiveness, and safety of products supplied to our customers.
* Manage NCRs to identify Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.

Other Duties Include:
  • Working with Quality Manager to ensure the Quality Management System and supporting processes are being followed. Update QMS with improvements accordingly.
  • Carry out internal and external quality audits as part of the team or individually based on ISO9001:2015 requirements
  • Manage customer quality issues. Understand customer requirements and focus on satisfying these requirements
  • Work with Service Engineers and customers to confirm findings on products returned for servicing.
  • Proactively recommend solutions that will improve product durability and performance based on findings from serviced products.
  • Monitor the entire production cycle and report on areas for improvement.
  • Inspect supplied products from internal and external suppliers against drawings and specifications.
  • Manage inspections tools and gauge calibration process
  • Report KPIs, including capacity utilisation and productivity, on a monthly basis and recommend actions for improvement.
  • Contribute to the Company’s continuous improvement and quality culture by looking for and recommending process improvements. Resolve all NCRs within required timescales and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies for the employees are being followed and recommend areas for improvement.

After-Sales Support Engineer
Location: Glossop, Derbyshire, UK
JOB PURPOSE
* Process products returned for servicing or repairs and provide prompt response to customers with detailed and conclusive report based on findings.
* Achieve production realisation by reviewing areas for improvement on returned product and implementing changes on existing designs
 
KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Other Duties Include:
  • Provide rapid response to customers requirements for after sales support.
  • Coordinate process of returning products and communicate with customers to provide full inspection with detailed report of findings.
  • Repair products and implement any corrective action, including design changes, perceived to improve performance of the products in the field.
  • Provide engineering expertise to support other functions, including sales, machine shop and assembly that facilitate product realisation based on findings of repaired product.
  • Work with the Assembly Engineers to resolve product testing issues and complete corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Using CAD, modify existing designs where improvements can be made to improve performance and reliability of product.

Goods Inward Inspector
Location: Glossop, Derbyshire, UK
We are looking for an experienced Goods Inwards Inspector to check incoming goods are correct to Pressure Tech specifications and requirements, and to detect non-conforming goods and take appropriate action.
Other Duties Include:
  • Inspection of incoming goods, to ensure they meet the requirements detailed in Engineering Drawings and Product Specifications
  • Checking of Delivery Notes, Purchase Orders and Certificates of Conformity, to ensure the requested goods have been received
  • Performing Positive Material Identification of raw materials and compilation of Alloy Verification Reports
  • Booking-in conforming goods using the ERP system
  • Raising of Non-Conformance Reports for defective goods
  • Supporting the Quality Manager on Quality Initiatives and Continual Improvement activities
  • Assisting with the Calibration Program and calibration of manual measuring equipment e.g. Digital Calipers
Requirements:
  • Engineering qualification such as City and Guilds etc
  • Minimum 2 years experience of inspection disciplines within an Engineering environment
  • Reading and understanding Engineering Drawings and Specifications
  • Using manual inspection equipment — Micrometer, Caliper, Height Gauge, Thread Gauges
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Outlook, ERP Systems)
  • Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Clear communication (verbal/written)
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as a team
  • Proactively contribute to the team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Plan and prioritise workloads
  • Achieve agreed performance targets and standards
  • Demonstrate decision-making skills
  • Strong desire for Continual Improvement and Defect Prevention

Assembly Engineer
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay: £11.00 to £12.50 per hour
Location: Hadfield, Glossop, Derbyshire
Pressure Tech manufacture high pressure regulator valves in stainless steel for the oil and gas market and have over 1000 parts used in the assembly of our products. We currently have a vacancy for an Assembly Engineer to join our team.
Other Duties Include:
  • Assembly of regulators to the highest quality standards within required timescales
  • Testing of assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Cleaning and finishing of assemblies to reflect the quality of the product
  • Packing products for despatch
Requirements:
  • Methodical and focused approach to work
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively and accurately under time pressure
  • Good team player
  • Computer literate
  • Experience in similar role would be advantageous
  • Mechanical engineering experience or qualifications would be an advantage
