CNC Operator/Programmers - Sliding Head and Multi-Axis Machines
Pay: Competitive Depending on Experience (40hrs Per Week)
Pressure Tech manufacture high pressure regulator valves in stainless steel for the oil and gas market and have over 1000 parts used in the assembly of our products. We have a vacancy for a number of skilled CNC programmers/operators for our sliding head and multi-axis machines.
Other Duties Include:
  • Setting and operating a range of CNC machines, including Citizen Sliding Head A32/L32 models and Hardinge Quest multi-axis machines
  • Programming using Mitsubishi/ISO and Fanuc controls respectively
  • Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time
  • Finishing components to the highest quality standards
  • Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
  • Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards
Requirements:
  • Experienced CNC programmer, setter and operator of sliding head and/or multi-axis machines
  • Experience of programming using Mitsubishi/ISO and/or FANUC controls will be beneficial
  • Qualified through apprenticeship or HND
  • Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
  • Experience of CMM desirable
  • Methodical and focused approach to work

  • Able to work well under pressure

Product Development Engineer
Salary Negotiable depending on experience (40 hr week)
We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our rapidly growing company specialising in high pressure regulator valves. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for further developing the existing product range. The successful candidate will responsible for expanding our core range of products. You must be experienced in designing high pressure valves with understanding towards product realisation by offering designs with USP.
Other Duties Include:
  • Use test facility for performance testing of product to create pressure v flow curves
  • Proof pressure testing of products using hydrostatic test rig
  • Create supporting AUTOCAD Inventor drawings and reports to support theoretical and physical test results
  • Create material data base based on required specification (NACE, FDA, PED etc.)
  • Update existing ERP system with relevant specification
  • Providing NDT as well as cycle tests to validate designed products
Requirements:
  • You must have a senior level of experience designing high pressure valves.
  • A degree in mechanical engineering
  • Be analytical with an enquiring mind and have the ability to find solutions to problems
  • You will have a good knowledge of the standard IT packages and CAD/CAM
  • You must be able to work independently and to manage several tasks at once
  • You will need to work at a good pace and respond to deadlines
  • Flexible in your approach to work and problem solving, and prepared to work on a variety of projects or products throughout the year
  • Strong mechanical background ideally pneumatic/hydraulic systems
  • Understanding of product "life" and importance of product validation
  • Understanding of various material properties and ability to recognize potential suitability for use in the field
  • Ability to read and understand machine drawings, and able to work with Autodesk Inventor and Vault management system at strong level
  • Ability to create 2D drawings from models and verify design by calculations
  • Understanding company internal procedures and standards, and understand the importance of brand awareness
